Medium perfusion (flow) in the OrganoPlate is established by passive leveling of liquids. The perfusion can be maintained indefinitely by placing the OrganoPlate on a MIMETAS OrganoFlow. This customized rocker platform fits easily in an incubator and enables interval rocking (switching sides every 5s-999 minutes), as well as adjustable rocking angles (0° to +25°).
Minimal settings are required for pump- and tube-free perfusion in OrganoPlates. OrganoFlow feature optimized time- and angle settings and programs for use with OrganoPlates. The OrganoFlow comes in two versions: OrganoFlow S for 1 stack of 4 plates and the OrganoFlow L for 3-4 stacks of 4 plates. Both versions are suitable for use in standard tissue culture incubators, the OrganoFlow S is available on request.
Do I really need a Perfusion Rocker?
We strongly advise using a MIMETAS OrganoFlow L to optimally control the perfusion flow in OrganoPlates. The OrganoFlow allows for detailed programming of an intermitting rocking action. For evaluation purposes, a standard continuous rocker platform (see-saw) can be used. First check with your supplier if your rocker platform is suitable for use in cell culture incubators.
For some applications, for example, neuronal cell culture, we advise not to perfuse the tissues. For these applications, a MIMETAS OrganoFlow is not required.
