Snakebites pose a significant global health threat, affecting millions and causing tens of thousands of fatalities annually. Many snake venoms disrupt blood vessels, leading to severe physiological consequences. To address the need for advanced in vitro models for snakebite research, we used OrganoReady Blood Vessel models to assess snake venom effects on human tissue. This method leverages 3D human blood vessels in a microfluidic system, the OrganoPlate®, enabling precise control over physiological parameters.
